Internet Explorer 9 touches 2.35 millions download within 24 hours of its launch

Internet Explorer 9 a feature browser with great support of HTML5 and CSS3. It seems like acclaiming itself to be the new Rock Star of the existing browsers. The latest version of IE family has hit the record of 2.35 millions downloads in the first 24 hours since it become available for download.

But unfortunately it fails to break the record of Mozilla 3 Guiness Book record (over 8 millions in 24 hours), but the popularity of Internet Explorer 9 indicates a good sign for the diminishing market of IE and might restore its lost image.

Chrome has been putting a lot of pressure on competitors lately and with Firefox maintaining its sizable market share the expansion of the Google browser was mostly at the expense of Internet Explorer.

In addition to that the final version of Mozilla Firefox 4.0 is about to hit the market (22 March, to be precise), so the empowering Microsoft browser might get hit to its acceptance.
